Masculine Mini Treats for a Charity

Good After Everyone,

I am still around just a bit tired and lazy.  Here is what I am up to. I need to make 120 mini treats and 12 place cards  for a Charity called The Tree of Life.  At first I thought, ah, no big deal, just mini treats.  They shouldn't take too much time.  Boy, was I wrong!  Doesn't matter if they were big treats or mini treats if the numbers are three digits I better get moving and move fast!  I spent  whatever time I had on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and here are the mini treats that I got so far.

I made only about 50 of them.  There were 39 in this picture and these were the masculine mini treats.  These mini treats will  hold two Hershey Kisses. They are favors for the First Annual Tree of Life banquet on June, 5 2010.  The foundation colors are green (Old Olive) and Gold (So Saffron).
Here are a more close up pictures.
Measurement 2" x 5 1/4" score at 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 4", 4 1/2"
The yellow strip measure 1/4" x 6.  You don't score the yellow strip just fold it along the score line and bend it.  Then cut off the excess.  It work better that way.

These two brief cases are Faux Alligator technique.  You can't really see it in this picture.  They were so cute!
Here is the measurement. 2" x 5 1/4".  Score at 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 4", and 4 1/4".
The handle measure 1/2" x 3" score at 1/2", 1", 2", 2 1/2"

To do the faux alligator technique is to drag the versa mark pad on the card stock and sprinkle it with clear embossing powder.  Then use tooth pick to make those lines.  Blow off the excess powder and heat embossed it.

Thank you for visiting.  Enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

Hi Helen

Wow, what a busy lady you are! These look brilliant. Love the colour combo and that embossed leather look.

It is no wonder it is taking such a great amount of time to make all of these as they are each perfection! Great project - they are wonderful!

You take care! Good luck with the remainder of your treat boxes!
