Collapsible Boxes

Good Morning,
I saw this collapsible box on Stampin' connection. A place where all the Stampin' Up! demos share ideas.  I was going to make only two boxes but the score line on the band was off by 1/16" and with that it won't fit the box.  So I cut another band  and again it won't fit!  Instead of throw away the paper, I made the box to fit the band.  Here they are all the same color.

If you google "SU collapsible box", you will be able to find the tutorial.

Card stock: Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Certainly Celery
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, and Chocolate Chip

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend!

A Gift from Barbara Diane

Good Morning Everyone!

Look what I got in the mail yesterday!  A beautiful box with a matching set of 3 x 3 note cards from Barbara Diane at
Barbara's World of Whimcees

The box is so adorable!  Look at the lid!  It is so small and Barbara decorated it all around!

The six note cards.

Here is the inside of the note card. These two flowers were not made from punches everyone!  Barbara hand cut them!  They are teeny tiny flowers.
And here is the card.  Beautiful gift won't you agree!

I've always admired Barbara's amazing creations.  Barbara really focus on details and that was what made her creations such an amazing pieces.  I have to say I am one lucky gal to receive Barbara's creations.  If you haven't check out her blog yet, you are missing out.  Barbara made the most incredible dolls from fabrics and polymer clays!

Thank you Barbara for thinking of me!

Thank you everyone for checking in with me today!  Have a wonderful day!

Sympathy card

Good Morning,
A friend asked me to make a sympathy.   It is not a fun card to make but a very important card to give.  She asked for a 5 x 7.  Now, if you are my regular blog reader, you knew I always had a hard time making a standard A2 card and  I was not thrilled to be asked to make this huge card but I took on the challenge.

Here is the card.

I am embarrassed to tell you how long it took me to make this card.  But I thought it turn out pretty nice.  I turned in the card to her yesterday and she liked it.  Phew!!!  A note to self: I should have more confident in myself. :)

The card layout was from an old Mojo Monday.

Supplies: all SU card stocks - Kraft, basic black, retired DSP, and Very Vanilla
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, So Saffron, and Black Stazon
Ribbon - Very Vanilla
Brad - black  (none SU)
Word window punch and Modern Label punch

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day!

More net cards - Up dated with a link at the bottom

Hello,

I really love how the second net card came out.  So I wanted to see how the other colors would look.  And here they are.

Tempting Turquoise.

Riding Hood Red.

Just plain white printing paper with glitter but of course the glitter didn't show up on this one. Card stock is Elegant Eggplant.

I created a pocket under the butterflies and place an insert for writing on all the cards.  The flourish is from clear stamp that I bought from Walmart.

Thank you so much for visiting.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Cards for A Charity Foundation

Hello,

I have a friend who needs 20 mother's day cards.  She needs all the cards to be simple and pretty.  The cards base must be green.

So here they are:  This first rose here I used Rose Red reinker.

The second one here I used Pretty in Pink and Rose Red reinker.

Here I used Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie.

The last one here, I used only Pumpkin Pie reinker.
I wanted to make all 20 of the cards using the Manhattan embossing folder but had second thought and made a few different ones.  What do you think?  Can these cards be Mother's day card?

Thanks for taking a peak!  Have a lovely day!

Mini Purses Treats

Hello,

I saw this nugget purse on Chic'n Scratch blog and can't resist it.  So here they are.

I ran out of the chocolate  nugget but had plenty of pure chocolate Kisses.  Can you believe I don't like pure chocolate?  I only eat chocolate that is cover something.

Since I was using chocolate kisses for the mini purses,  I changed the paper size.  My size is 2 x 5 and I made these.

I wasn't happy with the front flab.  I know sometime I am very hard on myself. (smile)

So I thought may be I'd try to use the tag die cut that I got from Joann's clearance rack a while ago.  Here they are.

I ran them through the big shot again using the embossing folder to give them some textures.  What do you think?

Then a friend is going to need some mini treats for both men and women.  Here are the men version.

The one on the right is just plain card stock.  The one on the left I used the faux alligator technique.

Here they are together.  Cute aren't they!

Thanks for looking.

Echoes of Kindness note card Day 4

Hello,
I am still playing with this set "Echoes of Kindness"  (retied).   I stamped the flower using black Stazon and colored with Stampin' Up! marker, Pretty In Pink.  Then added glitter on the flowers.  I added the ornament punch for the flower vase.  Wasn't my idea to use the ornament punch for the flower vase.  Had been seeing around for sometime now.  Then I also added three pink half back pearls. A gift from Barbara Diane.  I love everything about this card.

I just love how all the pink paper, the ribbon, and the pearls,  coordinated so well.  They were bought from three different places!

I love the layout and how this card looks so much, I made two more card using Asian Artistry a level two hostess from the current catalog.

I am going to enter one of this card for a PPA challenge.  It seems to fit the criteria of the challenge called KISS (keep it simple, sweetie!).

Thank you so much for visiting!  Have a lovely day.

Second Net card

Hello,

I finished this card early this afternoon but the weather had been so nice and I decided to work on my yard.  I am happy to say it's ready for some flowers.

Here is my second net card.

I was meant to use two different colors for the net but forgot.  For this net I used the same yarn that I used for the crochets flowers.  I really like this one.  I figure out how to make the net just one layer.  The net looks cleaner than the one from yesterday.  I decorated the front with the mini roses that I made and added a few pearls.  Love it!

Here is the inside.

I had three layers of butterflies for the inside and added dimensional between each butterfly.  After I cut out the butterflies I put them in the embossing folder and ran them through the big shot again.

Here is the side way looks.  The butterflies on the inside of the card pop out through the opening of the net.

Thank you for looking.

Casing Net

Hello,

My second post today.  I just finished this card.  And I didn't want to wait any longer.

I cased this net from here.  Can't compare to her beautiful work. But,  hey, I thought it came out pretty good.  I used sewing thread that's why the net looks loosed and my net is double layers.  The original net is single layer and I think I knew how to make it.   Well, I am off to make another one.

Thanks for looking!

Ghirardelli Box

Good Morning,
Isn't this box cute! I made this box to go with the birthday card that I gave to a friend (Heather).
This is the front view.

Here is the side view.
 Here is the box open.

The inspiration came from here.  I changed a little here and there to fit my need.

The box measured 2 x 2 x 1(height).

Here are the supplies I used.  I forgot to add the round tap punch for the handle.

(1) 4 x 4 for the box - score 1" all around
 (1) 2 x 3 for the lid - score 1" on the long side
(2) 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 card stocks
(2) 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 pattern papers

Cut the box as in the picture and glue the corners to create the box.  Glue the lid on.  Then glue the box panel on the bottom and on the lid.  The wrap around band is 1 x 8 inches.  No score line needed.  Just wrap the band around the box and added Velcro under the flower.

I used coffee filters for the flower.  I always like the texture of the coffee filters.  So I took the opportunity and made the flower.  It was hard to punch the coffer filters by itself.  But if you place a 20 lbs. printing paper under neath the coffer filter and punch them together, it work great.

Here are the card and the box.  I did add pearls on the "PP" flowers before I gave to Heather.  I personally delivered  the card and the box to Heather (she lives down the block) and guess what these are her favorite colors.  She was wearing a purple shirt and just dyed a purple baby carrier blanket.

Anyhoo, thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Echoes of Kindness Birthday card

Good Morning,

Hope you had a great weekend.  I made a bunch of cards over the weekend.  I am all simple cards now.  I made this card for a friend/neighbor birthday coming up this week.  She doesn't read  my blog so it's ok to share this card.   I don't know what her favorite color is so hopefully she'll like this color.

Instead of stamp the sentiment.  I used the embossing folder for the mounting piece and then I picked up some chalk with Q-tip and color the sentiment.  Easy Peasy!  I look too plan. I might add some glitter inside the "P" before I give it to her.

Thank you for visiting.  Have a wonderful day!
