Wedding Cards

Hello,

I was debating to continue blogging or to stop because I am completely lost interest now.  It used to be exciting now it's like a chore.  I still make ton of stuffs though.

Any way I'm going to give it until the end of the year.

I have a few wedding cards to share since it is wedding season.

I saw this card on pinterest.  I thought it is so cute.

My friend Elisabeth gave me some wedding stickers.  I quilled the rings then added the stickers.

This last one is  popular.  I made a few of them and they were all sold.
Thanks again for looking.  Have a lovely day.

Wedding Card 2

Hello,

Sharing another wedding card sample.  I like this one better then my other wedding card that I posted not too long ago.  The card measure approximately 5 x 7 inches.  Bright sun combined with black and white made the pictures looked bluish.

This is the back.

The RSVP card and it goes under the belly band.

Have a wonderful day!

Bridal Shower Favors

Hello,

Phew! I finished and dropped them off 105 Hershey nugget purses and clutches.
Oh, my! of all the 25 white purses, I happened to pick the one with the off center pearl to take the picture for my post. Not so impressive.
Added a little tag at the back.
Inspiration of the nugget purse was from  here.

The tag didn't look good on the clutches so I added the tap in the front. The clutches were made using 2 medium tags from Tags, Scallop combo # 2 die.

Enjoy your weekend!

Hello,

I've decorated many tea lights before but I've never try them in white.  This time I thought I'll give them a try and I love it!  Now I need to fine someone who love them enough to buy them. lol

I like the first one better.  I think the pointy label made it prettier.

Thanks for cheeking in.  I truly appreciated it.

4 Tiers Cake

Hello,

I mentioned last week that I made a 4 tiers cake for a rehearsal dinner.  I forgot to take the pictures before I gave them to Lynn.  However, Lynn took the pictures and sent them to me but I accidentally deleted the pictures.  I told Lynn about it and she kindly sent me again.  It was from her iphone so the pictures are different from my usual ones.

The bottom layer had 17 boxes, next were 13 boxes,  the third layer had 12 boxes and the top layer had 11 boxes.  I made 61 boxes total but not all of them were assembled on the cake.

Again, I made each cake piece looking like this.

I started this cake boxes back in February because there were so many pieces I had to make.   It took me over 1 hour just  to cut the flowers for the roses. Then I had to make 61 origami bows in 3 different sides. After that  I had to stickle the bows  and added pearl to the bow, cut and emboss the outside of the cake boxes and I had to make 51 tags to go in the box.  You got the idea of how much work it was but I love every minute of it and I would do it all over again without hesitation.  I saw Lynn again after the rehearsal dinner and she told me that everyone love the cake!  That was a music to my ears. :)

I am entering this to:

Make It Monday - anything goes
The Paper Player - anything goes
 4 Craftychicks - No stamping

As the weather getting nicer and warmer now, I had so many things to do around the house that I had to reduce my blogging time to twice a week.  I will be posting on Monday and Thursday from now on.

Thank you so much for checking in on me again.

Happiness Always

Hello,

I always give a "thank you" for your order card but the card is not a thank you card. Does that make sense? I recently had two bridal shower orders.  One was the 30 tea lights and last week I just completed a 4 tier cake boxes.  I am so mad at myself for forget taking the picture before I gave the cake to Lynn. And Lynn kindly sent me the photos of the cake and I accidentally deleted her email. I felt stupid to ask her to send me the photo again.

I made these two cards as a thank you gift for the two orders.  This one was for Lynn.

and this one was for my friend Martiza.

The card was inspired from HERE.

Thanks for looking.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Final Press Cake Boxes

Hello Bloggers!

I really enjoyed making these Stampin' Up! cake boxes. I used Core Destination card stocks from Joann Fabric. The papers are shimmery and made such elegant cake boxes.  I made two sets of cake box.  I was planting to give them for raffle at the craft show but I think I am going to keep one set.

I made the top of the cake the same.

and here is  the individual cake box. I love those strips. they made the cake slices look so real!

Here is the side of one of the cake boxes.  I made this set first.  The scallop icing were made using circle scallop nestabillities.

Here is the side view of the second cake boxes. I love this one!

Aren't the bows and the pearls so elegant.  Here is the bow tutorial.  This is the set I am keeping.

Birthday Invitation

Hello,

A friend asked me to make birthday invitations for her husband. The birthday party was on January, 1st.

These were the samples that I showed to her

She liked the third one. I forgot to take picture of the finished invitations before I gave them to her. I CAS this invitation from SU 2009-2010 catalog page 49.

Here is the favor opened. These were Hershey nuggets wrapped with embossing card stocks.

The card stocks were from Joann Fabric by Darice, Inc.  They were so pretty.

Thanks for looking.

quilled Wedding Card

Hello,
I made this for Joan to give to her daughter, Desirae. The wedding was this past Saturday.  I made Desirae's wedding invitations back in July.

I didn't realize until I finished the card that the letter "o" in "to"  was capitalized.    Thank goodness I can just print out another one.

I am linking this to Make It Monday.

Thanks for taking a peak!

Congrate Quilling Card

Good Morning Everyone!
I made this card for Janet.   I made some wedding announcements for her a few weeks ago.

I learned how to make a similar roses last year but I never really like them.  I didn't know why.  Then the other day I was looking through my quilling strips and saw these roses and thought that I'll give them another try and I LOVE it!

You will need 9 pieces of 1/2" square of paper and one small 5 petal punch for the base.

I cut a tiny bit off on each side. This step was not necessary.
Then cut a small slit in the center.

and glue them like shown and curl the two corners outward.

Use the 5 petal punch for base. Glue each rose petal like shown
For the roses center you can use pearls or the flowers stamen if you don't have the quilling strips.

You can also fine more tutorial at Quilling with whimsiquill

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Manhattan Flower Wedding Announcement

Good Morning,
I made 25 of these wedding announcement for a friend last week.

Janet likes the card to be simple.  It was a regular size card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  The colors were cream and navy.  I embossed the Manhattan Flower on vellum.  Than I used a fine pointy glue and apply the glue to the raised part of the flower then I sprinkled with glitter.   The navy ribbon was from BBCrafts.com. I would add pearls but Janet like the rhinestones on the ribbon.  It's hard to see in this picture but the card turned out quite pretty.

Thanks for looking.

Congrate Quilling Card

Hello,
This card will be the last card that was related to the wedding invitations that I recently made.
A few weeks ago when I was making the wedding invitations, Joan had asked me to go to her daughter bridal shower but I told her no.  She had asked a few more times after that and again I declined.
Then last Friday,  Joan called and asked me was it possible to make her a special invitation to put in the new photo frame that she bought for her daughter bridal shower.  I told her "Sure, it was possible".  An hour later I called Joan back and told her that her special invitation was done.  Joan didn't question me.  Although, she thought that I was insane.  I took it as a compliment. :)
The new invitation that Joan asked for wasn't any special from the other.  It was just smaller 4" x 6".  Joan had asked for four 5" x 7" special invitations that looked like post cards. She was going to frame them so she didn't need the front of  the invitation.  Then she bought a smaller frame for her daughter.  The frame hold two  4 x 6 photos.  Joan thought it would be nice to have the invitation on one side of the frame and a wedding photo on the other side.  She cut one of the 5 x 7 invitations, of course that didn't fit in the 4 x 6 frame. Joan told me that it took her sometime to call me to make her that invitation. I just didn't understand why would she hesitated.  I told her I was glad she decided to call me to make her that smaller invitation.  The new invitation fit perfectly in the crystal photo frame and I forgot to take the picture.
Joan called me later Friday evening and told me that I HAD to go to the bridal shower.  She wanted to introduce me to a few of her good friends.  I couldn't declined her this time.  Joan was so excited. So I told her O.k I will go to the bridal shower.  I couldn't go empty handed.  I had to make her (the bride to be) something special. I didn't have time to make something elaborated. I was thinking of a mini album or a guest signing book but I didn't have time.  So I made her this card.  This card was inspired from a card that I saw on google.  If you google "quilling cards", you would fine tons and tons of beautiful quilling cards.

I didn't know Desirae well.  I met her once before this so I thought a congrats card would be appropriate.

Here is the inside.

I knew she was going to frame this card so I didn't elaborate the inside.  I like this short and sweet stamp from Whimsical Word (SAB).

It was my first time attending the bridal shower.  Joan was making sure I felt comfortable because I told her I didn't know any body at the shower but it turned out I knew a few people. I told Joan I had a good time and I was glad that she MADE me went.

Thank you for stopping by again.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Baroque Motifs Thank You Notes

Good Morning,

So glad to have you here today.  After making the wedding invitations and the bridal shower favors, Joan's friend from work, Kathy, thought it would be nice to have coordinated thank you notes for Desirae also.  Joan wanted something simple so I made these

I CAS this first card from Simplicity.

Then the rest of the cards came along smoothly.

I needed quick purses. I made these two purses to hold the cards.  CAS them from Creation by Patti.  I used 12 x 12 card stock and it was perfect! Each purse hold 10 cards and 10 envelops.  Joan didn't expect the purses so when she saw the purses she just loved them.

Thank you Joan and Desirae for allowing me to be part of your special day.  I absolutely enjoyed every moment of it.

Thanks for taking a peek!
