Today will be my last post for 2009.  I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to my  friends Barbara Diane Ramsey, Rachel, Deanna,  and Pat.  Thank you SO much for  taking the time to leave me all the kind comments.  I really enjoy reading them.  Also thank you everyone else for visiting. Another quick card

Good Morning!

Today I like to share another quick card.  I CASE this card from Sunny Stamping Studio.  I used Shimmery paint but it didn't show here.  There's not much to this card just the Medallion stamp but I like it.

Quick and Easy cards

Good Morning,

We are having our first snow today in the Delaware Valley.  The children are all excited waiting  to go outside.

 Today I like to share a few cards that I've made.  I saw the technique on Patty Bunett's blog. I followed her tutorial but I couldn't get the same resolve like hers.  So I eliminated one of her steps.  I can't believe the image when it came out.

I finally can say " quick and easy" cards. 

  

 

Tip:  Look at my homemade Stamp-a-majic!  I used my children leggo pieces as my stamp-a-majic.  It's not very attractive like the store bought stamp-a-majic but it does the same job.  I cut the clear box that hold the sizzix dies cut for the mate.  It's work great and I used them all the time.

Another Magic box

Hello,

I have another magic box to share today.  I really like this one and so did Pat.  (Hi, Pat).  I forgot to take a picture of the outside box and now I forgot how it looked like.  This is the top of the  lid.  I wanted to just make a puffy bow and place it on the lid but I couldn't make the bow so I just tied this simple bow and added some glitter leaves.  I like how it turn out.

 Here is the inside.  I love flourish and when I saw this flourish at Joan Fabric at 40%, I grabbed it without second thought.  I ran glitter pen all over the flourish.  The tree looked a little off but it was not.  As you can see I wasn't taking the picture right on the top.

 

 I always ran my tree again using the embossing folder to give the tree some textures.

Quilled snowflake Christmas cards

Hello,

After making those big ornaments quilled snowflakes, I thought I'd make these small snowflakes for card accents. These are A2 cards and as you can see there are still plenty of space on the card so these snowflakes are pretty small.  No, they were not hard to make.  At first I thought it would be harder then the bigger ones since the pieces are smaller but I was surprised how easy it was to make these smaller ones.  I guess it was because the strips are shorter so it rolled faster and it was easier to assemble them.

I decided to add some glitter.  I used spray adhesive and dipped the snowflake in the diamond glitter.  The glitter didn't stick well so I painted clear finger nail polish on top.  This used of finger nail polish was inspired from a very talented, Marilynn  McGyver.  Check out her awesome creations here.

 

 Here is another one.  The same snowflake just different color and different layout with old retired designer paper.

Weaving Christmas cards

Good Morning,
Today I like to share this weaving Christmas card.  I really like how it turn out.  I think this is the card that I am going to send out this year.  We don't celebrate Christmas but I enjoy sending out Christmas cards to friends who celebrate Christmas.  And I also received quite a few cards every Christmas. I love receiving them.

This one here I used 3/8 grosgrain ribbon.  You will need 6 inches to make this wreath.   I really like how this one popped out.

 This one here I used 1/4 inch ribbon and you will need only 5 inches to make this wreath. It is thinner and smaller so it doesn't really pop out.  But I still like it.  AC Moore has this 1/4" ribbon on sale this week 4 spools for one dollar.  Can't beat that!

 

 So I bought different colors.

 

 

I love the embossed snowflake background.  My friend Maritza lend it to me.  Thank you Maritza. I knew you would want to learn how to make this.  There's a great tutorial  here.
