Crochet Daisy or Sunflower?

Hello,

Last week I finally tried to crochet a daisy.  It came out looking neither a daisy nor a sunflower but I like it though.

I was thinking of making it into a brooch but thought it would look better on a card.  Now it looks kind of funny a little.  Every time I looked at it it reminded me of a bobble head (lol).

Any how have a great Monday!

You Are One Of A Kind

Hello,

When I made this card, I wanted to stamp the sentiment on the pattern paper but didn't want to mess up the pretty  paper;

so I made another one.  I like the above one better.  Lately, I am into bright colors thought they look so pretty.  Pattern paper and stamps were from stampin' up.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Crochet Poncho For Faye

Hello,

Faye asked for a gray poncho just like the one I made for myself here.  She asked and she got it.  Well, she will get it only if I know how to make it.  I crocheted tighter for this one than the one I made for myself.  I like the feel and the look of the Caron Simply soft yarn but this yarn  is easily wear out!

Thanks for stopping by!

Blank Note Card

Hello,

I was in the mood to make some cards.  Here is one of them inspired from a card I saw at split coast stamper.

The stamp image was from stamin' up! called "Just Believe" love that set.  I colored the image with markers then added a small pearl in the flowers center. I like how it turned out.

I bought the card base from Michale's 60 cards and envelops for $5.  I thought that was a good deal and the quality was surprisingly nice.

Enjoy your weekend!

Baby Carriage Favors

Hello,

My friend, Joan, called me last month.  She told me she needed baby boy favors.  Now that was music to my ears! She said she needed only 30 favors for three baby boys shower.  My thought was "that was little for 3 baby showers."  So I said,  Lindsy is expecting,  Desirae  just had a baby not too long ago, who are the other two expecting?  Joan said, Lindsy is expecting triplet and they are identical.   OMG! what a miracle! Both side of the family had no history of twin or triplet and there was no fertility involved.  How excited is that!

I wanted to add embellishment but was afraid it would look girly so I just leave them plain.

I first learned to make the baby carriage from here.

I am hoping to post the tutorial next week.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Sofa For Barbies

Hello,

Faye asked for a sofa for her 18" dolls.  I searched the web and found the tutorial here.  I did the measurement too small so the sofa fit barbies instead.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Round 3 Of The Crochet Fat Bottom Purses

Hello,

I don't want to bore you with my crochet fat bottom purses so I thought I will just share all the fat bottom purses that I had been making.

These two cream purses used cotton yarn.  I love them.
I made round cord for the handles.

This purple purse was also used cotton yarn.

This brown purse used Caron One Pound yarn. Find the Amigurrmi cherries tutorial here.

All these purses were made with double crochet stitches and I crocheted in the back loop only.

If you are interested in any of these purses, let me know.

Pink Crohcet Flower Motif Note Card

Hello Blogger Friends!

I crochet a lot so I have some crochet motifs sitting around.  I was browsing through the web and saw a card using crochet motif.   I have some of those motifs. I got to work right a way and about 10 minutes later here is my card.  See the original card here.

I wanted to see how the pink back ground would look so I made another one.

I like the first one better.  The white and green just made everything pops.

Have a marvelous Monday!

Lots Of Crochet Doll Clothes

Hello,

I made these doll clothes while I was in FL last week.  For this set I used 3 ply yarn and I like it better then the 4 ply yarn.  The finished clothes fit the doll better.  For the skirt I used the butterfly stitches from here.

Two ways pink jacket/sweater.

These were made earlier when I was on the crochet doll clothes mood.

This blue and white suite was inspired from here.

This last one was sent to Katie at Westie Julep.

Thanks for stopping.  Have a great weekend!

Home Sweet Home

Hello Blogger Friends!

I will miss the nice weather in Florida but it is good to be back home even though it is cold out.  While in Merritt Island Victor and I  were working on our little yellow trailer home.  We are hoping to retire there one day.  So three times a year we travel 1000 plus miles each way to maintain the trailer/trim the trees.

Then I took the children to the Kennedy Space Center.  Are you wondering where Victor was? I dropped him and his kayak off at a fishing place.  Right around the Kennedy Space Center,  we saw several alligators  but was able to capture only one.

I really need to update my cell phone and catching up with a more updated gadgets   because for this trip I forgot  the internet wireless and my  camera doesn't work as well as before. For nine days we didn't have the internet and everyone survived especially my older son.

I got the next picture from google.  The tour guy told us that this building is one of the four biggest buildings in the world.  Statue of liberty can easily fit through the door.
The flag on the building was the biggest American flag ever painted.  It used over 60,000 gallons of paint and more than 50 tour buses can park on the flag.

Then there was the Saturn V center.  Again I got the picture below from google.

I didn't hear the tour guy when he told us about the size of the building that house the Saturn V but my son, Jay, told me that the building was as long as 39 stories building.

There were so many things to explore  at the Kennedy Space Center. A one day visit to the center was not enough.  I am a person who like to get my $ worth so I purchased an annual pass to the center.  You would not believe the difference between a one day pass and an annual pass.  A one day pass cost $50 before taxes (it used to be only $25) and an annual pass cost $63 before taxes (it used to be $34 just a few years ago).  We are going to Florida at least 3 times a year so I will definitely be visiting the center again and again.  The new exhibit call the Atlantis will be opened the end of June.  All the astronauts will be there to cut the ribbon.  It will be awesome to be there on the opening day.

I also did some crocheting and will share that on the next post.
