Lots Of Crochet Hearts and Flowers

Hello,

I forgot to share these.  I made these for Katie at Katie sew 4 Fun.   These crochet hearts and crochet flowers added nice finished to the doll clothes.

100 hearts, crochet heart pattern here.  The pattern had three rounds but I did mine only 2 rounds.

140 crochet flowers
It was a lot of hearts and flowers to crochet so I set a goal by making 10 hearts and 10 flowers a day.  I took my crochet thread and needle everywhere with me.  One time I was sitting in the traffic for 2 hours; it's normally take only 20 minutes.  Victor was driving so I took out the thread and needle and started to crochet. I met my goal that day.

Happy crocheting!

Cloud Thank You Card

Hello,

I saw this card at local AC Moore.  And thought how pretty is that?  I also needed a thank you card so it just perfect.

Faye made the next card for Katie. I gave her all the supplies to make this card.  She quilled the flower and glue everything to make this card.  Not bad for a 5 year old.

That's all for today.

You Are Fabulous

Hello,

Recently I bought some sentiment stamps from Flourish Stamp.  They made big print words and then small print words to go with it.  I love it!

Here is my first card

Here is another one.

Some Sandals For The American Girl Dolls

Hello,

Last week I shared a pair of shoe for the AG doll.  After making that pair, I felt comfortable making more shoes so today I'll share some sandals that I made last week.

I made each sandal to match the dress that Katie sent.
And speaking of Katie, she sent another package last week for Faye.  This time Katie double the dresses so Faye can share with her friends.  Thank you so much Katie!  It is like Christmas in July for these girls.  Check out Katie Sews 4 Fun  blog where she shared all the doll clothes that she made.

Check out this youtube video for doll shoe tutorial.

Have a marvelous Monday!

Pink Crochet Willow Block Afghan

Hello,

When I first saw the crochet willow block, it is just like love at first sight, lol.  I wanted to crochet the block so badly.  I searched the web for the pattern but I couldn't fine any. However, I found a few good shots of the crochet block and gave it a try. I got it or it  looks very similar to the crochet willow block that I like.

So when I went to FL last month, Walmart down there had some yarns on clearance.  You know me, I got some yarns and started to make this afghan.

I finished all the squares while in FL.  At first I just wanted to make a small baby blanket but when I finished the first skein the blanket was too small so I got the second skein and made a bigger blanket. I used Caron Baby yarn.
I finished the edging when I got back home.

I mentioned earlier that I love this crochet block and I wanted to make it even better so I changed the center pattern.  I always like flower in the center of crochet block.  I saw the tutorial here for adding the green round to make the block solid.
I like this new willow block too.  What do you think?

Have a wonderful weekend!

DIY Shoes For The American Girl Doll

Hello,

I took a break from crocheting and made this adorable shoes for Faye American Girl doll.  It took me a few hours just to make the shoe sole and liner templates.  The shoes have left and right size.

There is a lady on youtube channel that made all kind of doll shoes.  She made the most adorable doll shoes on the web.

Thanks for checking in with me again!

Pink Flower Crochet Afghan Finished - Yay!

Hello,

I  finished this afghan a few weeks ago.  It measure approximately 50" x 70".  There are 70 crochet blocks.

I added a row of half double crochet around the border.  It looks like I weaved ribbon around the afghan.

I really like how it turned out but I should have use softer yarns.  You can get this  pattern from  here.
For those who wondering, it took me about 10 days to make this.  I used 9 skeins Red Heart super saver, 7 skeins  Aron, 1 skein Tea leaf , and 1 skein light pink plus a little Shocking pink scarp yarn for the center.

Update on this afghan,  this is going to be a big one.  I wanted it at least 90" x 90"  and I needed about 250 crochet blocks. Yike!
I am almost done.  I need 50 more crochet blocks but ran out of yarns.  Luckily, yesterday I received Joann Fabric flyer and there were five 50% off coupons that I can use.  Don't you just love that!

Well, that it for now, until next time....

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I'm Back

Hello Blogger Friends,

Normally I would say "it is so good to be back home" but not this time.  There are just so many things to do that the thought of coming home was a little hesitant.

We went to Florida for the grand opening of the Atlantis visitor complex at the Kennedy Space Center. I wanted to see what $100 million exhibit looks like.  It was nice to see the history was being made.  Here is a link to the new visitor complex.     The list mentioned  60 interactive activities.  We will have to go back there again because we only saw a few.

Here is the entrance to the Atlantis visitor complex.  Very pretty, but I didn't take this picture, hehehehe.

Here is another link that describe each exhibit and this one here show some cool pictures of the exhibit.

There are stations for landing the Atlantis (as in video game).  I tried a few times and I failed of course.  My three kids got it on their first try.
Here is Faye landing the atlantis.
One last item I'd to share is this T-shirt and look at the price, $69.99 for a T-shirt! and don't forget to add the 6% taxes. My entire wardrobe cost about that much. lol Really.

I'm hoping to get back to some paper crafting soon.  Until then .....
