RAK From Katie

Hello Bloggers Friends!

Today I would like to share a RAK (Random Act of Kindness) from Katie.  Recently I met Katie via Ann's blog Meet My Other Friend Monday.  I stopped by Katie's blog and leave a random comment.  I was loving her American Girl doll clothes.   Katie and I exchanged a few email and next thing I knew this lovely package arrived.

I was so surprised to see such big box decorated with beautiful AG stickers and glitter paper.  Faye was even more surprised to see her name on the package.  She couldn't believe it!  She kept on asking who sent her the package? I told her a lovely lady sent her the box.   I was BLOWN AWAY when we opened the box and saw so many pretty doll clothes! I've seen doll clothes at local craft shows but nothing like these.   Katie workmanship is magnification!

The jacket (cherry blossom print, loving it) and the PJ shirts are reversible! so many choices to play with, for Faye I meant. :)

Look at the Easter dress and the hat!  oh, so pretty!  The basket were filled with felt Easter stickers.

Everyone needs a  black dress even for doll!

Look at the travel bag with a doll carrier inside!

Outside pocket was decorated with dragon flies, flowers buttons and rick rack ribbon

Thank you SO MUCH Katie for making Faye feel EXTRA SPECIAL! Faye lit up every time she looks at the doll clothes and plays with them everyday.  She packed everything that she received for our trip.

I will be a way from blogging and will return April 3rd.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter!

Yellow Crochet Sunshine Sidewalk Shawl

Hello,

I found this pineapple pattern shawl last year and had saved the file.  I finally got around to make the shawl. It didn't take that long to make it.  I made mine bigger then the pattern asked for.  The original shawl was in gray, oh, it was so pretty.  I didn't have gray yarn in hand so I used this Sunshine yellow from Caron Simply Soft.
I don't care about yellow color.  I bought these yarn because they were on clearance. When I finished the shawl, this is what my daughter said  "the pattern is pretty, but the color is not pretty."  Yes, I agreed with her.  I will have to make another one in gray.

You can find the tutorial here.

Thanks for stopping by again.

Crochet Doll Accessories

Hello,

Today sharing are all about doll.  My daughter, Faye,  is finally got her first American girl doll and her name is Saige.  Faye had been saving all  the money that was given to her.  She even asked for a job so she could get pay (lol) and  save up the money to buy the doll.   I am in the process of painting a house right now.  She asked if she could help painting and then get pay.  At first I didn't like the idea of a 5 years old  helping me painting.  She insisted so I gave in.  I showed her how to paint and you know what she could do it! We finished 3 rooms together.   And she had enough money for her first American girl doll.

I have to admit that the doll is very pretty.  Love the boots!  She also came with a pair of earring and a ring.  I made the necklace for her.

You knew I can't sew and doll does need new clothes. :) So I crocheted her this dress and hat.

She also needs at least one accessory to go with the dress right? How about a crochet fat bottom purse?
I used size #3 crochet thread for this purse.

I hope I haven't bored you with this post.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Brown Crochet Fat Bottom Purse

Hello,

I have another crochet fat bottom purse to share today.  This time it's in brown.

I made the red one a while ago.  You can check it out here.  This time I added lining for the shoulder straps too and it was much more comfortable to carry.

My sewing machine and I are not friend yet even though I had it for almost 10 years. :)  Therefore I hand sewn the lining.

As always, appreciate you dropped by here again.

Birdie A Note Of Thanks

Hello,

Over the weekend we had such beautiful weather.  I've seen people in short and T-shirt. So nicer weather is definitely on its way.

I made this quick card.  The tree trunk was hand cut and the leaves were the circle scallop punch.

I don't know why but lately I had used heart on a lot of the cards.   I quilled a simple bird to go on the tree.  The awkward sentiment was again to cover up the mess up.

Thanks for stopping by!

String Art Heart Altered Wooden Box

Hello,

I wanted to try a string art heart shape so I cut out the heart shape and made the template for the stitching.  I am not a high tech person therefore everything was hand drawn.  I knew the template can be done on the computer.   But it probably would take me much longer if I was to try to make the template on the computer.  Any how here it is.  I made this for my little next door neighbor.  As you can see her birthday was in February.
You can fine the rose tutorial on the side bar.
On the inside I put the battery tea light along with gift.  I forgot to take the size picture.  I just wrapped it with pattern paper from Stampin' Up!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend!  The weather is suppose to be nice for the weekend.

Five Minutes Just For You Note Card

Hello,

This is another embossing folder that I bought from Ac Moore.  One time I went to Ac Moore and found the Darice embossing folders were 50% off.  For $1.99 a piece I bought all the design that they carried.  This week the embossing folder is on sale again.  This time $1.88 each.  No body can beat this price.  I most likely will check it out again to see if there are new designs. :)

This is not a truly 5 minutes card because the quilling flower took more than 5 minutes to make but because I had the flower already made a while ago this card was really a quick one.

Thanks for looking!
