Flowers tutorial

Hello,

I love Prima roses.  Every time I went to the local craft store,  I had to stop by the Prima collections section to take a peak at their roses. I never bought them.  Then one day  I figured out how to make the roses.   I went to many places to look for mulberry papers or handmade papers but couldn't fine any.  Then my good friend Rachel (hi Rachel) brought some of her handmade papers to share.  Then I realized I got some handmade papers a few years ago from a local craft store that I had forgotten all about it.  I was very excited.  I went back to the store to get some more handmade papers.  It turned out to be a very disappointed.  The craft store had been out of business for quite some time. :(  So now my last choice would be to wait for the convention at Valley Forge.  And for now I  will be just using regular card stocks.

So on to the tutorial. You will need two punches.  The larger flower is about 2" and the smaller flower is about 1".

Punch out two flowers from the bigger punch and three flowers from the smaller punch.

Make slits on all of the smaller flowers like this

Then using the Stylus and emboss them until they look like this

Then glue them into three different sizes like this

Assemble the flower by stacking them.  I used tacky glue.  This is one flower itself.  Set it aside.
With the two larger flowers

Curl the petals like this

and emboss the center of the flowers.  Make two sizes like this.

Assemble them and here it is. Your very own Prima roses.   Tip:  When I made flowers, I always made them at least ten at a time.  It was much faster that way.

If you have any question, feel free to email me or leave a comment here.
