Wedding Week - Day 3

Good Morning,

Today I'd like to share another cake that I've made.  Remember I posted these flowers last week.  Here are some of the them.  I met Janet at the craft show from last year and she ordered the cake as a bridal shower favor boxes. The wedding color was supposed to be Brocade Blue, but I didn't have it and there wasn't enough time for me to place the order so Janet settled with Ballet Blue.  You can find the tutorial on how to make the roses from here.

Here is a close up of the center.  I hand cut the big flower in the center.   When I arranged all the same size flowers, it didn't look as nice.  It leave gaps between the flowers.  Now with the big flower in the center,it fills in the gap.  I sponged shimmery paint on the roses.

I also decorated each cake piece.  It look delicious. Isn't it?  Janet was very happy with it.

Check back tomorrow to see what I have to share.

Thank you so much for visiting!!!

Hugs,

Helen

What a beautiful cake! Your roses are excellent and I love the large arrangement in the center! This cake is so pretty and the 'frosting layers' add so much to the individual pieces! I have no doubt that Janet was happy! :<)

The paint you sponged on those flowers gave them a definite "omph". Great job!
