These cards were CAS from my friend Rachel at A One of A Kind Design By Rachel. I met Rachel at a local Joann Fabric over two years ago. We became friend instantly. Rachel introduced me to embossing folders and since then I had been adding embossing folders to my craft room. Thank you Rachel!
The zigzag ribbons were made by sewing the ribbon the zigzag way and pull it tight.
See this post for how to color the embossing folder.
I'm sharing two more cards I had made over last weekend.
I made the bottom one first. It look o.k but I wanted a card to look more than just o.k so I thought I changed the center color and I like the green center better.
I haven't make a single card in months so over the weekend with the snow and ice I didn't have to go to work so I sat down and made a few cards. This is one of them.
The stamp image was from SU. Love that image!
White card base was from Paper Trey Ink. The gray was from SU called Sahara Sand. Water color paper from Waltmart for the stamp image. Black card stock was from SU.
This will be my last two pieces of my 20 plus years old crochet items. They are also my favorite pieces. I made these when I was around 15 years old. Yes, I had lots of patience even then.
This is the center pillow. The flower in the center had 7 layers. It is about 1" tall and 3" wide.
It is about 13" wide.
This is the bottom of the pillow. I placed card stock in there hopping to show the design better and I think it did.
Look at what I had been making! I love crochet roses and I had been trying to look for the pattern that is easy and yet pretty. And I found it! You can fine the tutorial here. I am using size 10 crochet thread but the roses came out to different sizes because I used different size crochet needles.
I told you that I will be making more of these jewelry sets. I really love how the pink and black turned out. The same lady who ordered the black frame with white roses also ordered two sets of the jewelry. She wanted one set in black and pink and another set in black and red.
But she took this purple and white set instead of the pink and black set.
You can fine the tutorial to make a similar rose here.
I painted at least 4 coats of mod podge on the flowers and the earrings so a little water won't bother them.
If you are interested in purchasing the jewelry set, they are all available. It is $15 per set and it is FREE shipping to US and CANADA.
I made this 20 plus years ago. I made more than one. I didn't know what happened to the rest. I didn't know what to call it so I called it a vase holder.
Now it is one of my daughter's toys. Sorry I don't have the pattern and don't know how to read the pattern; therefore, I couldn't make a pattern for it. I remember I had a picture of this and I counted stitch by stitch to make it. I still do the counting when I crochet now a day. I don't know how to read the crochet patterns so I would look for a good picture of the finished crochet item and crochet it.
I had a last minute order to make two black frames and white roses last week.
I really like the way it turned out so I'll be making more of these. I covered the frame with Core Destination shimmery black card stock from local Joann Fabric. Love this papers! The flowers were made using water color papers from Walmart. I bought the pearl flourish from the Scrap book convention that I attended last year.
