Match box Jewelry Box

Good Morning,

I made this a while ago.  It was inspired from a jewelry box that I saw on line.

This is the front.  I know one side is shorter than the other.  I had to create  the side box as tall as the 4 match boxes. Some how a long the way it missed by about 1/8". Oh, well.   This is my first try out.  Hopefully the next one will come out better.

I decorated both sides like this.  The accent was from ColorBox sold at Joan Fabric.  I got them during clearance.

Here is the view from the corner.

The stand was made from tracing the topnote die. I didn't have the measurement because I just made it as I went a long.

I haven't decided what to do with the top so I just leave it blank.

Thanks again for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm if you are in the snowing area. And enjoy the weather if you are in the tropical area.

very cool. I saw a advent calendar made from matchboxes on a blog right before Christmas. It's amazing what you can do with a matchbox.

Once again, Helen, you amaze. That jewelry box is so sharp! lol It looks good regardless of the calculations! Great design!
