Ribbon Origami Ornament

Hello,

Another origami ornament.  I've made this ornament a while ago that's why it was purple and white instead of the Christmas colors.  I haven't seen this ornament any where, except the bottom piece called the "star".  Let me describe how many pieces of ribbon I've used.  The top section was made up of two pieces and each piece used 4 - 8" of ribbon for a total of 8 pieces and the ribbon length  was about 8" long.  The middle section is the same as the top section except I joined 6 pieces together to make the ball. So it used 24 pieces.  Clear as mud? I've seen the last piece on several blog.  It's called a "star" and it also used 4 pieces of ribbon except each piece is about 12" long depending on the width of the ribbon.  There's a tutorial here for the star.

Have fun making the star.  Check back soon.

This is really pretty. I know you will say "very easy to make..." Right? :)

Helen, It's me again. It doesn't make a difference what colors you make it in. Whatever colors you use are your Christmas colors. I know people that change their colors every Christmas. This ornament looks like an expensive ornament you purchase in the department store. I keep clicking on the photo again and again. It is beautiful....
