6 points star ornament

Hello,

I would like to thanks everyone who was stopping by my booth yesterday.  It was a pleasure meeting all of you and thank you for your  kind words and your compliment on my work.  It was the craft show of the year!

Today I like to share this beautiful six points star.  It is very easy to make. I know some of you probably thinking "easy for her to say" but it's true.

When sharing your finished project on your blog using my tutorial, please have a link back to my blog.  Thank you.

Let's get start.  You will need 6 pieces of 4" x 4". The finished star will be about 8" x 8".  I used gift wrapping  papers.  Sometime the simple paper is what needed.

Fold the paper in half like this.  You will get this triangle.

Then fold that triangle in half again.  Either from left to right or from right to left. Which ever side you are comfortable with.  You should have two layers like this.

Make cut about a 1/4 inch apart.  Do not cut off completely.  Leave about 1/8 inch  at the end.

Open the square and you should have this.

This project used very little adhesive.  Apply adhesive where I marked with the "x". Skip every other triangle.

Working from the center, bring them in like this.

Skip the second triangle and goes to the third triangle.

One side finished.

Turn the piece over and repeat  the same thing.  Working from the inside.

When finished, you'll have this.  Make 5 more.

Join the six pieces together like this.

Then bring both ends together and you'll have this beautiful star.

For the center,  check this picture and the one at the top.  Divide into two parts, three points on each part, and glue the three points together.  Then glue the two parts together.  Check pictures.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great weekend!
