Quill week- Day 5

Hello,
I saw these beautiful snowflake here. I think it was love at first sight (lol).  I set to work on creating these snowflakes right a way.   I am not a pink person.  And you asked why I made a pink one, because that was one of the few papers that I have.  I am still using card stock for my quilling projects.

 After the pink one I made this blue one here.  I need to shorten my v-scroll a little.  The snowflake looks like it has a long neck.

 

 These two are my favorite.

 

 Stunning aren't they?  These are ornaments. They measure a little bit more then 3".

Quill week - Day 4

Hello again,
Since I started learning to quill, I looked at everything differently.  This snowflake was inspired from a card that I saw while I was at AC Moore.  It used  beads and I thought may be I can make one using  quilling.  I did make one but it looks funny so I changed it and made this one.

This one is a CASE from one of the blogs that I visited.  I forgot which blog again. I had visited so many quilling blogs.

 

The yellow didn't come out  as nice so I made a blue one here.

 

This is another CASE snowflake. Again, I forgot which blog. For this one I used a 28 lbs. printer paper.  It was a lot easier to roll.

 

I think blue snowflakes are my favorite.  What color did you like?

Quill week - Day 3

Good morning,
Another rainy day.  It's raining at least once a week.  A good reason to stay in and make more mini albums. (lo). Today I like to share this  poinsettia that I used to decorate the front of the 6 x 6 mini albums. After making the simple quilling flowers I thought I wanted to try something more detail so I tried this flower on another cover of the waterfall album.  I had visited many quilling blogs and this poinsettia was inspired from one of the blog that I had visited.  I forgot which blog.

 Then this one.

 

 And then this one.  For the center I added a gem instead of a tight coil to see how it would look.  I like it a lot with the gem.  I think it would look even better with a bigger gem.  I cut out all my quilling strips.  I am working with 1/4 inch strips since I still haven't got my quilling tools yet.

 

The word "Christmas" is from the "Go Go Boots" alphabet. At first I didn't really like the set but now I love it.  It's the perfect size for scrap booking which I had neglected for many months.  See the "t" in Christmas?  I cut out "f" and snipped off the top and make it into a "t".  The actual "t" I thought it was too small. Quill week - Day 2

Quill week- Day 1

Hello everyone, I have to admit I am now addicted to quilling.  I had stopped everything else and all I do now is quilling.  I did managed some how packing the kids' lunch and sent them to school.  I did remember to pick them up from school and checked their schoolwork. (lol)  I spent all my free time now just doing quilling. I still haven't get my quilling tool yet.  House chores are now being put off as long as I can tolerated. How addicted am I?  I think this is bad but I love it. (lol)
Here is another quilled flower.  I post this waterfall album last week.  I felt something was missing on the front cover so I added this flower.  I like it better with the quilled flower on the front.  What do you think?

Thanks Card

Good Friday morning,
Another quick post today.  I needed a few "Thank You" cards and this is one of them.  This card is very similar to the card that I made for Tracy's birthday.  Except for this one I heat embossed the swirl, then I brayed Tempting Turquoise  and sponged Olive green for the background.  The leaves were from Martha Stewart leaf punch.
