Lattice Cards

Good Morning Bloggers!
I saw this card here.

I made a similar card before.  You can see them  HERE. Learned that from HERE. It was very difficult  to make those two cards so I haven't thought of making it again.  But now I found an easier way to make this design.

Here it is

I mounted all the card pieces that I needed for the card (card base on the bottom then the mounting piece then the top piece) using just a bit of the temporary adhesive to hold the pieces in place.  Then I placed my die cut right in the center and ran them through the Big Shot.

The Spellbinder only cut through two layers of cards but it leave a good impression on the third card stock.  Using a craft knife  I cut the shape out and you will have this

Take the very top piece and turn it over. Then apply double sticky tape around the shape.  I see I only had the tape on the two sides.  You should add adhesive on the top and the bottom too.

Cut a bunch of small strip papers.  Mine were 1/8" and mount them on the tape like this.

Don't worry about the excess strips. You can trim them once you are done.

Then weave the other strips in and press onto the tape.

Cut off any excess strips.  Apply more sticky tape and mount it to the mounting pieces (center piece).
and you will have this.  Then mount this onto the card base.

Here is the finish card.
