Sofa For Barbies

Hello,

Faye asked for a sofa for her 18" dolls.  I searched the web and found the tutorial here.  I did the measurement too small so the sofa fit barbies instead.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Round 3 Of The Crochet Fat Bottom Purses

Hello,

I don't want to bore you with my crochet fat bottom purses so I thought I will just share all the fat bottom purses that I had been making.

These two cream purses used cotton yarn.  I love them.
I made round cord for the handles.

This purple purse was also used cotton yarn.

This brown purse used Caron One Pound yarn. Find the Amigurrmi cherries tutorial here.

All these purses were made with double crochet stitches and I crocheted in the back loop only.

If you are interested in any of these purses, let me know.

Pink Crohcet Flower Motif Note Card

Hello Blogger Friends!

I crochet a lot so I have some crochet motifs sitting around.  I was browsing through the web and saw a card using crochet motif.   I have some of those motifs. I got to work right a way and about 10 minutes later here is my card.  See the original card here.

I wanted to see how the pink back ground would look so I made another one.

I like the first one better.  The white and green just made everything pops.

Have a marvelous Monday!

Lots Of Crochet Doll Clothes

Hello,

I made these doll clothes while I was in FL last week.  For this set I used 3 ply yarn and I like it better then the 4 ply yarn.  The finished clothes fit the doll better.  For the skirt I used the butterfly stitches from here.

Two ways pink jacket/sweater.

These were made earlier when I was on the crochet doll clothes mood.

This blue and white suite was inspired from here.

This last one was sent to Katie at Westie Julep.

Thanks for stopping.  Have a great weekend!

Home Sweet Home

Hello Blogger Friends!

I will miss the nice weather in Florida but it is good to be back home even though it is cold out.  While in Merritt Island Victor and I  were working on our little yellow trailer home.  We are hoping to retire there one day.  So three times a year we travel 1000 plus miles each way to maintain the trailer/trim the trees.

Then I took the children to the Kennedy Space Center.  Are you wondering where Victor was? I dropped him and his kayak off at a fishing place.  Right around the Kennedy Space Center,  we saw several alligators  but was able to capture only one.

I really need to update my cell phone and catching up with a more updated gadgets   because for this trip I forgot  the internet wireless and my  camera doesn't work as well as before. For nine days we didn't have the internet and everyone survived especially my older son.

I got the next picture from google.  The tour guy told us that this building is one of the four biggest buildings in the world.  Statue of liberty can easily fit through the door.
The flag on the building was the biggest American flag ever painted.  It used over 60,000 gallons of paint and more than 50 tour buses can park on the flag.

Then there was the Saturn V center.  Again I got the picture below from google.

I didn't hear the tour guy when he told us about the size of the building that house the Saturn V but my son, Jay, told me that the building was as long as 39 stories building.

There were so many things to explore  at the Kennedy Space Center. A one day visit to the center was not enough.  I am a person who like to get my $ worth so I purchased an annual pass to the center.  You would not believe the difference between a one day pass and an annual pass.  A one day pass cost $50 before taxes (it used to be only $25) and an annual pass cost $63 before taxes (it used to be $34 just a few years ago).  We are going to Florida at least 3 times a year so I will definitely be visiting the center again and again.  The new exhibit call the Atlantis will be opened the end of June.  All the astronauts will be there to cut the ribbon.  It will be awesome to be there on the opening day.

I also did some crocheting and will share that on the next post.

RAK From Katie

Hello Bloggers Friends!

Today I would like to share a RAK (Random Act of Kindness) from Katie.  Recently I met Katie via Ann's blog Meet My Other Friend Monday.  I stopped by Katie's blog and leave a random comment.  I was loving her American Girl doll clothes.   Katie and I exchanged a few email and next thing I knew this lovely package arrived.

I was so surprised to see such big box decorated with beautiful AG stickers and glitter paper.  Faye was even more surprised to see her name on the package.  She couldn't believe it!  She kept on asking who sent her the package? I told her a lovely lady sent her the box.   I was BLOWN AWAY when we opened the box and saw so many pretty doll clothes! I've seen doll clothes at local craft shows but nothing like these.   Katie workmanship is magnification!

The jacket (cherry blossom print, loving it) and the PJ shirts are reversible! so many choices to play with, for Faye I meant. :)

Look at the Easter dress and the hat!  oh, so pretty!  The basket were filled with felt Easter stickers.

Everyone needs a  black dress even for doll!

Look at the travel bag with a doll carrier inside!

Outside pocket was decorated with dragon flies, flowers buttons and rick rack ribbon

Thank you SO MUCH Katie for making Faye feel EXTRA SPECIAL! Faye lit up every time she looks at the doll clothes and plays with them everyday.  She packed everything that she received for our trip.

I will be a way from blogging and will return April 3rd.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter!

Yellow Crochet Sunshine Sidewalk Shawl

Hello,

I found this pineapple pattern shawl last year and had saved the file.  I finally got around to make the shawl. It didn't take that long to make it.  I made mine bigger then the pattern asked for.  The original shawl was in gray, oh, it was so pretty.  I didn't have gray yarn in hand so I used this Sunshine yellow from Caron Simply Soft.
I don't care about yellow color.  I bought these yarn because they were on clearance. When I finished the shawl, this is what my daughter said  "the pattern is pretty, but the color is not pretty."  Yes, I agreed with her.  I will have to make another one in gray.

You can find the tutorial here.

Thanks for stopping by again.
