Lots Of Beaded Flowers
Hello,
I tried the beaded flowers before but I couldn't do it. My fingers couldn't handle the wire or may be because I didn't use the right tool and the right technique. After I saw Dr. Sonia bead flowers, I wanted to give it another try., I found a few tutorials.

And this is what I was doing all day yesterday with my 5 years old helper. She always wanted to help so this time I thought she can actually help and she did. I had her put the 6 white beads in the wire and I would finish the flower and together we made all these.
I tried these with the color beads on the outside. I thought they didn't come out as nice as the white beads on the outside. So I went back and made more like the above flowers. I also made all white bead flowers. We made at least 100 flowers yesterday.
Then my daughter wanted to make the bead flower all by herself. I showed her how to and these are her flowers made all by herself. After I took the picture of her flower, she made a lots more. She said that she couldn't help it; it was so much fun.
Thanks for checking in.

Crochet Fingerless Gloves
Hello,
I've always wanted one of this when it first came out. I don't know why I didn't make one sooner. I am glad I finally made them. They are so easy to make and look so cool when wear them. With the inspiration from etsy and google I made these.
Then my two sons wanted one too. This one is for my younger son. When I added the thumb, some how they look like tree trunk but they look really cool when he wear them.
The picture below was my first pair. I used the tutorial here. The design look nice but when I wore them they look funny. I took them a part.
Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Wooden Baskets
Hello,
I haven't done any paper craft in the past 3 months. I had these wooden baskets sitting around collecting dust so a few days ago I decided to dress them up. Boy! I had to dust some dust off my papers and punches.
All flowers were made by me. :) The pink and yellow flowers were made using Caron Simply soft yarn. They were the same flowers that I used to make the rose afghan but I like this tight stitches better. Tutorial for the flower is here. The other flowers were made using size 10 crochet thread.
Thanks for stopping by.

Crochet Scollap Rings
Hello,
I saw this crochet scollops on one of the blogs. So I went to Dollar Tree and lucky I found a bag of bangle. It had 12 in the bag for $1.08. I had to modify since my bangles are almost 3" wide. And these what I came up with.
The last group here I used Caron Simply Soft and I really like it.
You can fine the tutorial for the scollop ring here.
I played around with the stitches for different ring sizes.
Here is what I have: 55 stitches will make 9 scollops
61 stitches will make 10 scollops
67 stitches will make 11 scollops
73 stitches will make 12 scollops
so basically if you have a bigger ring just keep adding 6 for each scollops. I wanted to make a wreath for this when I fine the ring that I like.
Another bargain? I bought these Caron Simply Soft and a few Lion Brand yarn from Walmart clearance bins for $1.50 each. The price on the yarn mark $2.50 each so I got only 3 balls but when I took to pay it came up $1.50. You know me I went back and got some more.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Crochet Rose Throw Partly Done
Hello,
I started this roses afghan back in May. I stopped because I didn't really happy with the way I crocheted. I normally crochet tightly but for these roses tight stitches didn't make nice roses (that was my thought then) so I crocheted loosely. As I joined the squares together, it became sagging. I wanted to take the squares apart and redo the entire thing but the thought of it scared me. I had 40 roses so far.
You were wondering what is it with the two colors? I love that bright purple yarn but each ball had only 165 yards compare to the dark purple yarn it had 315 yards in a ball and they cost the same. So my plan was to have the bright color in the center and the dark color around it. I used Caron Simply Soft.
You can fine the rose tutorial here.
