Quilling Daisy

Hello,

I am sharing a quick daisy card today. I knew it isn't any time  for daisy to bloom but I am just so tired of this cold weather.  Aren't you!

The versatile blogger Award

Hello,
I am flattered to receive this versatile award from two creative bloggers.

Here are the rules for accepting this award:

Thanks the person(s) who gave me this award and have a link to their blogs.

Thank you cg and Monica for sharing this award with me.

Then I have to share 7 things about myself.

1. I prefer the hot weather but I am happy where I live now Pennsylvania (I spelled out the state for    my  oversea blog readers).  The snow wasn't too much here in the winter and during summer it didn't get too hot, at least for me.

2.  Believe it or not I don't have much patience except with my crafting.

3.  I just learned how to use the electric screw driver and the table saw.

 4.  With my new skills, I built my own shelves for my papers. Yay!

5. I enjoy watching action movies.

6. I don't have a favorite color.  All the colors are pretty.

7.  I read this quote somewhere "a day without scrap booking is a day without sunshine".  Well, for me is a day without crafting is a day without shine.

I'm passing  this award to the following bloggers:

 Divya - Rainbow arts

Leanne -  lee arts n' crafts

Dr. Sonia - Cards, crafts and kids projects

Gaby -  Gaby's Ideenreich

Mary - Mary's craft room

Rae -  A One of a kind design by Rachel

Barbara - Barbara's world of Whimcees

 Diana - Happy Quilling

PawwPadd - Casey's Pitter patter Chatter

Rhonda - Rhonda's Place to share

Thank you again cg and Monica for thinking of me.

MatchBox Desk

Good Afternoon,

I saw this matchbox desk on several blogs and had wanted to make one.  I added the center draw so this desk is pretty big.

My  younger son suggested that I put some pencils in the pencil holder and he made the two pencils. He folded the paper to make edges like the #2 pencil.  Inside the paper pencil is a tooth pick to make them sturdy. I colored the tip black to make it like real pencil.  I also made a cup.  And to brighten up the desk I glued the quilling tulip on it.  I also added beads as the desk stands. I was thinking of making a chair to go with the desk but had second thought.  May be one day I will make that chair.

Miniture Flowers

Hello,

I gave the 3 D quilling another tried and I was still struggling with the flower pots. I knew why I was struggling because I used 1/8" quilling strips.  When doing 3 D quilling , 1/4" quilling strips was recommended.
Any way here are the miniature flower pots.

This one is a tulip in case you can't tell.  It's a little crocked.
This is a rose.  I used the leaves  and the floral wire from the Cuttlebug quilling kit. I really like this one.  It's so cute!
Here is another rose.  I saw this one here.
The leaves were quilling tear drop shapes and I glued them together.  For the stem I rolled a square piece of construction paper.

Challenges:

Crafts and Me challenges - anything goes

Scrap book sisters - anything goes

Tuesday throwdown - anything but a card

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend!

MatchBox Draws

Good Morning,
I made this matchbox draws several weeks ago but I had a hard time with the easel.  I didn't know what I wanted there.  Then my 3 and half years old daughter suggested that I put a mirror there.  So I thought, why not!

I made another draw to put right in the center and made an easel on top of that draw. I did add a brad on the top draw after I took the picture.

This is the top view when the easel lay flat.
The paper that I used to make the roses was from my son school work.  I dropped it in the recycle bag then took it back out because the paper looked and felt so nice.

Thank you so much for checking in on me.
