Crochet Flower Necklaces

Good Morning,

I really like the crochet flowers that I showed last time.   So I made a few of them into necklaces.

I have to find something to put in the center for the blue and the gold one. I saw the crochet necklace here. Some how I just couldn't make my necklaces like the one on the link.  Oh, well.....

Thanks for taking a peak!

Quilling Roses Basket

Good Morning,
Over the weekend I was in the mood for quilling so I made this card.

The roses were from stash.  They looked like quilling roses but I had tried many times to make the roses using the quilling tool I just couldn't do it.  So these roses were hand folded.

Lots Of Crochet Flowers

Good Morning,
Here are all my crochet flowers.  Can you believe I wanted to make some more? I was thinking of making some more blue and burgundy but I think I have enough for now.Time to move on to something else.

These are the styles that I had made.  I didn't have the pattern for them. My favorite one is the biggest flower with three layers.

You can fine the tutorial for this one here.

I stored them in zip log bags.  It took less space than jars or boxes in the draw.  Plus, zip log bags are cheap!

Now I have to think of ways to use them.
Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Kusudama Ornament

Hello,
I made this Kusudama hoping to give it to my brother as a house warming gift but I didn't finish it on time. I added round pearls in the flowers center.

This kusudama is bigger than my usual one.  I used 4" x 4" pattern papers.  The finished ball measured
4" x 4". The tassel was from an old calendar.  The total length of this ornament  is more than 12" long.

Have a wonderful day.

Quilled China

Good Morning,

My first try at 3D quilling. I bought  miniatures quilling book a while ago.  I decided to try the China set first.  Just in case you couldn't tell what these item are: two plates, two cups, two saucers, a bowl, and a complote.  I never heard of "compote" before so I have no idea what it is for.

A flower pot. The flower pot is sitting on the quarter.  I made five small flowers from the Cuttlebug quilling kit (quilling die cut) for the flower pot.

It was difficult! I guessed it was because I wasn't in the quilling mood. Also, I followed the instruction. When it came to following instruction, I am not so great at it. I will have to give this another try. So stay tune.

Thanks for looking.

CAS - Inspire By Nature Note card

Hello,

This is another technique on my to do list.  It was stamping on watercolor paper using Stampin' Up watercolor crayons. This is another card that I saw in the Stamping Success magazine.

I don't really like the result. But in case some of you are interested here is how it was done.  First, spritzed water lightly on the stamp.  Then colored directly on the stamp using watercolor crayons. Next spritzed (lightly) the stamp again. Then stamped on the watercolor paper.  Leave the stamp long enough for the images to absorb on to the  paper.

Thanks for looking.

Tissue Paper Technique

Hello,
Time does fly.  It is March already!

Don't you just love this soft look?  It is so simple to create this look yet  the result is outstanding, well at least for me.

This is called the tissue paper technique.  First you will stamp the image on a light card stock.  Then crumble a piece of tissue paper, unfold and smooth out the tissue paper.  I sprayed a little spray adhesive on the card stock and place the tissue paper on it.  Fold or trim the access tissue paper and you are done.

Until next time.
