Match box Jewelry Box

Good Morning,

I made this a while ago.  It was inspired from a jewelry box that I saw on line.

This is the front.  I know one side is shorter than the other.  I had to create  the side box as tall as the 4 match boxes. Some how a long the way it missed by about 1/8". Oh, well.   This is my first try out.  Hopefully the next one will come out better.

I decorated both sides like this.  The accent was from ColorBox sold at Joan Fabric.  I got them during clearance.

Here is the view from the corner.

The stand was made from tracing the topnote die. I didn't have the measurement because I just made it as I went a long.

I haven't decided what to do with the top so I just leave it blank.

Thanks again for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm if you are in the snowing area. And enjoy the weather if you are in the tropical area.

Hand Stitches Cards

Hello,
Over the summer, when I took the children to the playground, I also took my craft there. I did my stitching while they played.

I love this stamp set called Echoes of Kindness from Stampin' Up! (retired).

Bind It All Post it Note Holder

Hello,
I bought the Bind-It-All a few years ago but hardly used it.  I decided to make a few bind it all post it note holders.

I like the first two better with just the wire instead of tie the ribbons on the wire like the last two.

Thanks for looking.

Altered tea lights

Hello,

Made these to keep in handy.

I bought these tea light from Walgreen.  The bottom was not even  so I added  three legs.
It fit perfectly in this crayola tin can.

For this one I decided to make a different box to hold the tea light.  I was thinking of easy access to the candle so I only glue the three sizes of the box.  I didn't really like the way the box turned out.  The box measure 2 x 2 x 2 1/2 height.  It used too much papers due to the layering on both inside and out.
This green one, I haven't decide what kind of box to hold it yet.  I am thinking of a see through box to show off the cute tea light.

These battery tea light are everywhere now. I even saw them at the dollar store.  It came in a pack of  two tea lights for a $1.  Not bad at all compare to what I paid for these.

Thank you so much for visiting.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Lollipop Fabric Flowers

Hello,

I tried to make these lollipop fabric flowers before but they didn't turn out good because I hand cut the circle.  So I finally bought the Sizzix circle #2 and made these.

Tutorial can be found here.  I used the tea light candle to heat the edge of the  circles instead of the lighter.

I am entering this to the following:

Quilling Snowflakes

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and  the new year will bring lots of happiness and good health.

I made these quilling snowflakes last year. They weren't so nice.  A friend was looking for unique Christmas gifts for her children so I remade these quilling snowflakes  for her. The 1/8" strips made beautiful and elegant snowflakes but the snowflakes were not sturdy.  So I cut 1/4" strips from regular printing papers.   I was surprised how nice they turned out.  Sorry for the poor pictures quality.  There were times it was impossible to take good picture and this was one of that time.

These quilling snowflakes are not my design.  If you google "quilling snowflakes", there were lots of them for you to choose.  These snowflakes were a little crocked because I didn't use the grid. Somehow I didn't have patient for these snowflakes.  Maybe due to cutting my own paper strips.

It's so great to be back to blogging again.

Have a wonderful day!
