Hand Embrodery Hearts Altered Wooden Box
Hello,
I bought this string art template from scarp book convention several years ago. The template came with only 3 hearts. I had to made a new circle template to fit on this wooden box that I got from AC Moore. Then I joined 4 hearts together to make the center piece.
As always thanks for stopping by!

Altered Quilling Flowers Frame
Hello,
I had some left over quilling flowers from a while ago and the last time I went to craft show one customer suggested that I made a frame with this color combination, light purple and celery. I like how it turned out.
My heart goes to those who are affected by the hurricane Sandy. I hope you and your families are safe.

I thought this card worth sharing. My daughter made this card for her classmate birthday. She started to use the circle sizer so her flower petals are more even now. Look she also added white border on the flowers.

Crochet Foam Board Picture Frames
Hello,
So I played around with my foam board photo frames, crochet flowers, and beaded flowers and here are my result.
I honestly didn't like the second one. Somehow the crochet flowers and the beaded flowers didn't look good together. I knew it's me and not the flowers. I need to learn how to do the flowers spray. I really like the first one. It is simple yet looks really elegant. What do you think?

Have a wonderful weekend!

Black & White Crochet Flowers Altered Photo Frame
Hello,
After making the pink crochet flowers photo frame, I wanted to see how the black and white would look.
It was difficult taking picture of the black and white color. I always took picture with natural light and that day it was so bright that I hardly see the image in the lence.
The flowers and the leaves were made using size 10 crochet thread.
Leave tutorial can be found here. The flowers were inspired from here and here.

Hot Pink Crochet Flowers Altered Picture Frame
Hello,
I wanted to try to use the crochet flowers to decorate the picture frame to see how it would turn out. I used gray paper on the frame so for this particular frame it was hard to coordinate with other color. I had tried several different colors only this hot pink one really stand out.
For these 3 roses the inspiration was from here. I did my petals different from her tutorial. I like my flower petals round and fully looking so I added at least 2 more double crochet stitches to each petal. The pearl swirl was from Want2Scrap. I bought it at the convention 3 years ago.
Crochet leaves tutorial here.
Tutorial for this rose is here. However, I added a few extra double crochet (dc) stitches to each petal and added even more dc stitched to the last round.
Have a wonderful day!

Altered Wooden Baskets
Hello,
I haven't done any paper craft in the past 3 months. I had these wooden baskets sitting around collecting dust so a few days ago I decided to dress them up. Boy! I had to dust some dust off my papers and punches.
All flowers were made by me. :) The pink and yellow flowers were made using Caron Simply soft yarn. They were the same flowers that I used to make the rose afghan but I like this tight stitches better. Tutorial for the flower is here. The other flowers were made using size 10 crochet thread.
Thanks for stopping by.

One Penny, two Pennies, $$$$$
Hello,
I saved one baby formula can from 12 years ago as my piggy bank. I recently dressed it up a little. It is a big can 5 x 10 inches. My daughter likes to play with the can when there were not much coins in it so two of the flowers fell off.
Last year the total added up to around $200 and the year before that it was a little under $200. I was surprised how much they all added up this year. There must be lots of quarters in there because the total was,
drum roll please,
$320.23. A little extra money to support my new habit. lol
A local Joann Fabric store was moving so they had their fabrics on sale at 75% off. So I was in and out of there 3 times in one week. When a lady saw my cart, she commended that I must sew a lot and I told her I don't sew. Her eye brows went up. lol

Decorated Foam Board Quilling Wedding Photo Frame
Hello,
I love to decorate photo frame with just one color. It is easy yet the result is outstanding, well, at least for me.
Let me give credit where its belong. I learned how to do the multiple scrolls from Susan quilling. Susan created the most elegant quilling. The bell like flowers were inspired from Neli. And the flower tutorial was from Lin Handmade Greeting Cards.

Decorated Foam Board Photo Frame
Hello,
First, I wanted to thanks Jessica Jones over at How About Orange for feature the origami paper bow tutorial that I shared last year HERE. That page right now has more than 23 thousand views. Last Friday when Jessica featured my tutorial on her blog I had over 14, 000 visitors in one day. HOLLY COW! Thank you so much for sending your readers to my blog, Jessica!
O.k. on to my today project. If you are my regular blog readers, you knew I love to decorate photo frames because they make great gift!
I had been trying to make my own photo frame but I didn't know what material to use. I was thinking of using wood but cutting wood and sanding wood are a bit messy. Then I was thinking of using cereal box but they are too thin. I was drooling over the decorated quilling frames that Lin at Lin Handmade Greeting Card made. And that inspired me to think harder. Then I got an idea. How about foam board? I tried it and it work!
The foam board I used was 3/16 inch thick. Micheal's had a sell last week for 99 cents each. Of course I grabbed a few sheets.
For this frame I cut it 8 x 10 so one sheet of foam board will give me 6 frames. This frame fit 4 x 6 inches picture. I took pictures for the tutorial but all the pictures came out badly so I had to make another frame and will do the tutorial then. So stay tune!
Here are two more decorated frames using wooden frame from Micheal's.
Lin had a great tutorial of how to make this kind of flowers here.

Quilling Heart Photo Frame
Hello,
I need a baby gift for a friend. I dug into my craft box and found this. I made this since last year but somehow I never share it.
I love these pearls. Originally, it was rolled papers but one of them broke off from stacking in the box. So I carefully took all the rolled papers off and added the pearls. I like it better with the pearls.
Again, the frame was from Micheal's. I bought a bunch of them when they had the 25% off total purchase and the coupon work great with the $1 items.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Purple Flourish Stitches
Hello,
I decorated this paper mache box sometime ago. I like everything that are swirly and I love this swirl stitching pattern. I made a card using this swirl here. However, when I tried then on the lid of the paper mache box, I wasn't really happy with the result. I think because they are too close together.
I stamped the Fancy Flourish from Paper Trey Ink around the box using Elegant Eggplant ink from SU and added small quilling flower to the center.
Thanks for looking!

Altered Wooden Boxes
Hello Bloggers!
Can you believe it is March already!
I bought these boxes last year from Micheal's. I painted them with acrylic paint and then I was thinking of decorated the boxes after the paint dried. I played around with it but I didn't like the plain looking boxes so I covered them with pattern paper before I decorated them.
This is my first one. I decorated all the boxes both sides the same.
I made these quick and simple tags for the boxes.
All flowers were handmade by me. For one of the flowers on the last box you can fine the tutorial here.
