Pink Flower Crochet Afghan Finished - Yay!

Hello,

I  finished this afghan a few weeks ago.  It measure approximately 50" x 70".  There are 70 crochet blocks.

I added a row of half double crochet around the border.  It looks like I weaved ribbon around the afghan.

I really like how it turned out but I should have use softer yarns.  You can get this  pattern from  here.
For those who wondering, it took me about 10 days to make this.  I used 9 skeins Red Heart super saver, 7 skeins  Aron, 1 skein Tea leaf , and 1 skein light pink plus a little Shocking pink scarp yarn for the center.

Update on this afghan,  this is going to be a big one.  I wanted it at least 90" x 90"  and I needed about 250 crochet blocks. Yike!
I am almost done.  I need 50 more crochet blocks but ran out of yarns.  Luckily, yesterday I received Joann Fabric flyer and there were five 50% off coupons that I can use.  Don't you just love that!

Well, that it for now, until next time....

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Helen

Gorgeous. I could never finish something that big in a mere 10 days. It would take me months.
Good timing on those coupons

I can sort of knit but I have been dying to learn how to crochet. Might try this sometime :) now that I have a munchkin at home.
