Crochet 18" Doll Clothes # 1

Hello,

My daughter is into doll because our next door neighbor has an American girl doll.  If you don't have little girl, you most likely won't know that American girl doll cost  $105 each and the accessories run between $7 - $120.

I found out that AC Moore and Joann Fabric carry Spring Field doll collection and they are MUCH cheaper compare to the AG doll.  I got one Spring Field doll for my daughter from AC Moore for $13 including taxes.  The only different between the AG doll and the Spring Field doll is the hair.  AG doll has nicer hair then the Spring Field doll. But for the price that I am paying, we're both happy.

Next came the doll accessories.  They are so cute! However, I don't want to pay for them because I think I can make them and I did.

Here is my third try on the crochet shirt.  I followed the tutorial here.  I decided I only wanted to make the top.

I didn't really like the neck so I created my own pattern.  And here it is.

I made the neck lower.  Although, it show the neck join, I really like the dress shape and the way it fit the doll.  I wish the dress fit me. (lol)  My daughter wanted one for herself.  I told her maybe. I will share the tutorial at another time.

I wanted to wish everyone a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year!

Will return after the New Year.

Cyber hugs to all my blog friends,

Light Green Crochet Scarf

Hello,
This pattern was from Red Heart.  I just love the scallops on this scarf. This scarf work up really fast.  It is only 11 rows.  It can be done in under two hours.

I made a big flower to go with the scarf.  The flower was around 5 inches big.  The flower tutorial was from
here.  However, I changed the petal stitches and added an extra layer.

For each petal I did:
single crochet, chain one, 2 double crochet, chain one, 2 double crochet, chain 1, single crochet
For the last round I changed to a larger hook.

A matching fingerless gloves.
Have a lovely day!

Craft Show Sharing

Hello Blogger Friends!

Warning! this is a long post. So grab your favorite drink and read on.  I am done with my craft show season.   I kept forgetting to bring my camera;  therefore, I only have a few photos from my craft shows to share.  I am one of those people who still use the old cell phone that only make calls.  This was from one of the show.

I made clear plastic pockets on poster board to hold my cards.  I didn't sell any card from this poster board.  However, I did sell some cards when I put them in boxes and purses.  So I will do that from now on.

I had A LOT of crochet hats, scarfs, hat bands, and crochet flower ID badges.   I sold some of those items.

HOT items were the Hershey's Milk Chocolate snowmen wraps.  I used 1/2 inch circle punch to make the snowmen eyes and buttons.  If you google snowmen wrap, you will fine tons of inspiration.

I made three of these wooden basket filled with gift tags.  I sold only one.
As always I decorated both sides of the basket.
This is the other side of the basket.
Tags that were in the basket.

These four frames were sold right a way.

Last item that I am sharing is the ghirardelli chocolate purses.  Are you ready for the number?  I made  about 320 purses!  I made 150 of them over the summer.  Then I made the rest less then two weeks ago. I sold 240 of the purses without the chocolate to two ladies from churches.  They told me that they needed something affordable for their churches.  I showed them the ghirardelli chocolate purses for $1 each.  One time, I tried to sell that for $1.25.  I sold only two purses. They said they needed something less then that.  So I told them that I can give them just the purses at 50 cent each.   They were happy and I am happy to get rid some of my papers that I had been hoarding.

For these purses I didn't add the crochet flowers like I normally would .  I just added a flower punch on the front and added a hanging tag.  I always used ribbon for the handles because I threw these purses when they were done in a paper shopping bag. I once used card stock for the handles and the handles were crashed.  I also found an easier way to make the handles.  I hot glue the handles and that, my friends, were a lot faster and easier to make than using brads to hold the handles.

Click here for purse measurement. The handles were 5 1/2 inches long. I had used  1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch wide depending what I had in my stash.

Over all, I was very please with the craft shows this year.  I did only 6 shows this year but I sold at least 25% more than I did last year with 8 shows.  I signed up for 5 shows but I had a last minutes bonus show with was surprisingly awesome! Thank you Ann Marie!

I hope I haven't bored anyone with this long post.

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Quilling Photo Frames

Hello,

I have a few Christmas Quilling frames to share.  I made these for last week craft shows.  I added the Christmas greeting hoping to attract attention.  I was wrong!  People thought it was a Christmas greeting frame instead of a photo frame.  I made 5 of these.  I sold 2 one at each show.

I will have more craft show sharing next week.

Personalize Knit Mitten

Hello,

I finally did it.  I learned how to knit mitten and I knitted with the double point knitting needle.  The process looked intimidating at first  with the three needles hanging on the mitten.   But once I got a few rows started, it wasn't too bad.

After finishing the mitten it look too plain so I looked up HERE how to do the duplicate stitch.  I used the grid paper to mark the "v" and followed it from there.  It was my first time doing the duplicate stitch so it took me quit some time to make one "v."

I made a matching hat and a matching scarf.
A lady Pam requested two pink sets so I made another set in light pink.

Hat pattern HERE.  The puff flower was inspired from here.  However, instead of just pull up the loops, I used double crochet cluster stitches to make the puff flower.
The two little girls have the same name , Valerie, how easy is that!

As always thank you for stopping by!
